Sweden´s Dream Evil is a reminder of the golden age of heavy metal. It is a modern band playing old school music, including absolutely all the trademarks of heavy metal: melodic vocals, catchy melodies, boring drumming, great rhythm and lead guitar, the primordial soloing and "Metal is the best" lyrics.
Playing at a high quality level near the legends in this field (Black Sabbath, Manowar, Iron Maiden, Accept, Judas Priest), Dream Evil reminded me why heavy metal is so enjoyable and why it was so popular. As you may guest already, this is not the most original music you´ll find but originality was never their goal any way. It is clear the purpose of their music is fun and you may have no doubts that you´ll get tons of it.
This band is a must for the old school lovers and a very good beginning for the newbies in listening to metal music.
