UB40 is a group of English pop music and dub reggae formed in Birmingham, England in 1978.

The eight components are friends from childhood, of several races and from the working class: Ali Campbell, James Brown, Robin Campbell, Earl Falconer, Norman Hassan, Brian Travers, Michael Virtue and Astro. They bought their first instruments with which Ali received the money as compensation for a fight they had in a pub, although some of them still could not touch them. Took its name from the application form for payment of unemployment insurance, Unemployment Benefit Form 40 (Form of unemployment benefits by 40) because the eight members of the group were unemployed.

They recorded a demo that was issued by a radio station and started playing in some pubs and nightclubs, until Chrissie Hynde, the lead singer of the group The Pretenders saw them play and offered to accompany them as teloneros of their group during the tour of 1979 . In 1980, released his first album Signing off and created their own record company DEP International with the publishing Present Arms in Dub

In 1984, and by launching its own version of the famous Red Red Wine by Neil Diamond (in which is said to be his best album Labor of Love) got his first hit and subsequent leap to fame.

When we are young we believe that we are invincible, that our smile will last for a whole eternity. This is, until, that is the end of innocence.

For many life will be like a dream, and other typically the majority, will be an ongoing struggle.

For me it is and has been an ongoing struggle. In my life I've reaped many successes and also many failures, joys and tears.

But nothing, absolutely nothing has caused me much pain as well as watching someone die of grief for missing his great love, miss the love of his life.
 
I felt too cold to see his shattered soul.
Throughout these months only hostel in my confusion and disappointment. The cold now lives in my soul.

The look lost among a sea of fog is what I have.
Attempt away from my solitude to me, though, I want to scare the disappointment, not from where I was born yearning to live.

Wrong or not in my veins there is only confusion, it might be the law of my heart.

I am no longer the same, no longer feel the same, the penalty took the second person that I wanted more.
Now I wonder what important is to live, to fight.

The colors and silhouettes are, and there is no cure for certain wounds, the time appears before a sweet death where there is no awakening.

That sad reality rose up before me.
